Zoo Day!

We went to the zoo a few weeks ago, and I never dumped my 2G memory card LOL Sooo, here are a few pics of the kids (You've all seen zoo animals, I didn't think I needed to post those too LOL)

Birthday Pics!

Hope you enjoyed these...his party was on March 15th. He had a BLAST! His favorite toy would have to be the Tow Mater car...he likes to ride on it, but STANDING on it is much more fun. I can't believe he's been walking for almost 5 months now! He's really growing up!

He loves climbing things. The couches, beds, any ride-on toy in sight...i'm sure his next "thing" will be to jump off of everything. The child has no fear...

Anyway-thanks to everyone who came and brought gifts :) He loves them all!

Family News Update...

Whew...so much has happened lately! Kyle got a huge promotion with his job,which has moved us back to Dry Prong...and into his parent's house until I am done with my teaching. I am driving over 1 1/2 hours every day to I.A.Lewis 6th grade school in Ruston. I started my student teaching this quarter, which is the last big thing I have to do before graduation!

Taylor and Chase are just as sweet as ever! Taylor has a new found love for Hannah Montana, and we hear about it daily. I never dreamed i'd have THAT CD on my iPod! LOL She is really getting into dancing and running around...I think the fall will be the perfect time for gymnastics or dance classes.

Chase Man is an absolute DOLL! He has 15 teeth, he is 20-ish lbs, and is who knows how tall. (yes-we haven't had a doctor's visit in ooooooh-4 or 5 months???) He loves to clap, wave, hug, and practice saying our names. So far we've mastered mama, dada, and he's learning "t-t-t" for Taylor. I know, I know...he's a genius!

Hopefully I will have more time to update, you know, between writing lesson plans and all that fun teacher stuff. I promise that I will be posting pictures since my camera is now unpacked from the bazillion boxes we had!

We're Home!

We finally made it home, and are getting back into our routine...As much as we missed the kids, it was DEFINITELY nice to get away and have some alone time! Everything worked out great...the weather was perfect, water was calm, and Mexico is still just as gorgeous as we remembered!

The kids did AWESOME with my family! Chase woke up alot the first night, only because he wanted the boob and it wasn't there. The second night, he slept about 12 hours straight, in a crib! He has NEVER EVER slept in a crib (*cough cough* baby jail LOL) so I was kind of wondering how he would do! Still, it was nice getting home to them!

Anywhooo...on to the pictures! It was so gorgeous there! We went to Chankanaab National Park in Cozumel. This was our second time to this particular beach, and it was nice to return. When we were in Cozumel last time (March 2006), a hurricane had destroyed Chankanaab and we couldn't go there. We were really looking forward to going back, and it is really better than ever!!!

Ready for Some Sun and Sand!

Yup...you guessed it! The Joneses are heading out for Cruise #6 next week! Well, half of them...this time it's mommy and daddy only :)

Kyle and I have been discussing a getaway for just us, over a weekend or long weekend. Just didn't have an idea of what to do, or want to spend a billion dollars doing it! Luckily Laura, my personal vacation planner for Carnival Cruises called us at just the right time!

Last weekend, we booked a 4 day cruise to Cozumel, Mexico! We will be leaving on Thursday, January 31st from New Orleans, and arrive back on Monday. I am so excited, but sad at the same time. I've never been away from Chase for more than a few hours, so i'm kind of freaking out! LOL I think he'll be ok. My sister is watching them, and he LOOOOOOVES her!

Besides packing and planning shore excursions, i've also had to PUMP PUMP PUMP!!! Chase is still nursing, eats 3 small meals a day, and has never had formula. I had no milk at all stored in the freezer, so i've been pumping 3 extra times a day (on top of nursing 6x a day) to save up some. The things we do for our kids! LOL But-it's all worth it...nursing is a passion for me :)

Anywhooo...I probrably won't update because i'm too busy cleaning and packing, but when we get back-WATCH OUT! I'll probrably bog the computer down with 500 pictures! LOL

OH-I guess I could mention the kids too... :P

Chase says mama and dada now (and he knows who is who) and has learned to flush the potty! Fun times! Taylor is learning the states, and knows Louisiana, Tx, Oklahoma, Maine, Cali, Miss., Alabama, Florida, Hawaii, and MINNESOTA! LOL She says that is where her daddy lives...i've had to correct people at church. I think they thought Kyle and I were separated at some point and he moved to MN! LOL (He was up there for 2 mos for work!)

HOLY MOLAR!!!

Yup...tooth #9 is in! Chase has his top 4 and bottom 4 teeth, and has had them since 4 1/2 months. I've been noticing him gnawing on things more, so I peeked and sure enough: Another tooth! It's on the bottom, right side. He apparently skipped a tooth, and his first molar is through!!! So, there is the 4 front, a space, and a molar! He just seems so little to be getting them!

Poor baby! I know that's got to hurt...off to get some Hyland's teething tablets, I guess!

Chase is 10 Months...Going on 10 YEARS!

Yes, my sweet little baby boy is growing up. I don't know whether to be happy or sad. I love that he is Mr. Independent these days. He'll play alone (or with Taylor) for hours. He loves his toys and is really getting good at figuring out how they all work. He also has an attitude like you wouldn't believe...he lets you know when he wants to be held, nurse, or get down from your lap. He's started this funny thing...he'll stiffen and straighten his entire body to try to get out of his carseat, or out of our laps. He also likes to throw himself at me if Kyle has him and I walk by!LOL

This last month has been great, except for our first ever ear infection/Amoxil rx. He waves, claps, RUNS (not walks) laughs at EVERYTHING, and is really starting to discover things around him...Today I found him at our water cooler pulling the handles down and spilling Music Mountain water all over the floor. (Yeah-those big jugs that cost a TON!!!) Silly boy. He is also fascinated with our garbage can. I found a toy and a box of wipes in there. I guess Mr. Chase didn't want them anymore.

We don't know how big he is or how much he weighs, as we're behind on our immunizations. He's had 5 total so far, and (according to the doctor) should have 9+. Yeah..right. He was due for a big round at his one year appointment, but we'll still be getting his 6 month shots at that time! LOL It should be interesting explaining THAT to the pediatrician...

I promise i'll be posting pictures soon! I haven't had a chance to break out the Nikon lately...might get to it tomorrow, so check back soon!

Uh Oh! Spaghetti-O!

So, Chase hates baby food. If it has the word "Gerber" on it, he ain't eatin' it!

So, I finally decided to do something I vowed never to do...he simply eats what we eat, no matter what it is. No matter if it has tomato or milk based stuff in it. I feel so WRONG, but he needs to eat. Today was the first meal of "people food" and not that bland, wallpaper paste they call "baby food". On the menu was spaghetti (well, angel hair pasta with organic mushroom sauce and ground beef). He INHALED it! Loved it! Tonight is French Dip Sandwiches (Thanks Pam!) and i'm sure he'll be eating tiny pieces of meat with some bread! What else can you do? Kids gotta eat!

And, for your viewing pleasure...some spaghetti pictures! In my head I pictured a typical baby's first spaghetti moment (sauce from chin to eyebrows type thing) Luckily, my kids are neat freaks and eat without messes!

Well, it's started. Actually, it started the minute he came out of the birth canal, but here lately, Chase is looking more and more like Kyle. He's always had his facial features, especially his nose and eyes. He is 100% Kyle Jones...doesn't look a thing like me.

Lately his hair has been changing. It's turning a pretty blonde-red that i'm incredibly jealous of. (I always wanted red hair when I was little) And, tonight after his bath, I noticed he is getting WINGS! Which means, he will soon get little CURLS! I'm so excited! I love wavy, curly hair on boys! Kyle's hair was curly, so this will be just one more check on the "Ways I Look Like My Daddy" list!

I had my iTunes set to play random songs, and this happened to be one that popped up first. Well, Chase LOVES it! I even did a test, and played several other songs to see if he just liked to dance. Nope...only Britney! LOL He's so funny...he'll run in a circle and flap his arms!
