31 Weeks!
9 more to go! Although-still measuring big, so maybe less! My next OB visit is Monday, so i'll have more details then :) So far, i've gained 13 lbs (Addison makes up about 3.5 of those LOL)

Our (Other) New Kitty! LOL Meet Nermal!
We took in a little rescued kitty this weekend! His name is Nermal (yes, named after the cute kitty off of Garfield). We adopted Tinkerbell a few months ago, and after 6 weeks, she was NOT a good match for our family. She always hid and was a meanie. So-here is our new "replacement" kitty (does that sound bad?)

28 Weeks...30 Weeks...Whatever I Am at This Point...
I had my OB appointment this morning, which was full of fun things. I am slightly anemic, so I have to start taking iron tablets along with my daily vitamin. I passed my 1 hour glucose test, so I don't have gestational diabetes (I haven't ever had it though...). Blood pressure was great...and I have gained only 11 lbs at this point!
Speaking of...I'm not sure where I am exactly. I am positive of my ovulation/conception, however, I am measuring to be 30 weeks instead of 28 weeks. Dr. Babin is even ordering another ultrasound to check everything out...she believes that this baby will be "big", whatever that means. Not a bad big, just bigger than my last pregnancy.
Taylor was 7lbs 12oz, and Chase was 6lbs 14oz...so I have never really had a "big" baby. This should tie in nicely with my plans of a natural childbirth! LOL I have definitely noticed more movement and feel alot bigger than I did with Chase, but it isn't abnormal seeing as how this is my third pregnancy. It feels very weird to think that in 10ish weeks, I will have THREE kids!
I will see the OB again in 3 weeks, then another 3 weeks, then 2 weeks, 2 weeks, and-if I make it-one final visit a week later. This is the part that flies by, so i'm very excited about it all :)
Anyway-here is my picture update...28/30 weeks...whatever! :)

25 Weeks (or is it 27 now?)
My OB swears I am measuring at 27 weeks, and to expect a 2009 baby. *Fine with me* LOL I guess I am finally seeing what she is talking about in the "measuring big" department. My belly has grown ALOT in the last couple of weeks. But-I've only gained 6 lbs this ENTIRE pregnancy...i'm very happy about that! :)
Dessert Time! Easy Peasy Sundae Pie
About once a week or so, we have dessert night where the kids help make an EASY dessert. Tonight was Sundae Pie. Very Simple, but really good! Layer ice cream sandwiches, a layer of Cool Whip, and then ice cream toppings in a dish. Chill for about 30 min and you are good to go! :) We did caramel, chocolate syrup, and toffee pieces. YUM!
PS-Why can't my kids smile??? LOL They make the goofiest faces when the camera comes out!

OB Appointment Update-23 1/2 weeks
At my last appointment (22 weeks), I had another sonogram, but my OB was called out to a delivery and I didn't get to see her...Finally saw her this past Thursday! :)
BLOOD PRESSURE: Things were GREAT! My blood pressure has been awesome this time. It was very high with Taylor, good with Chase, and excellent this time!
WEIGHT: I've only gained 6 lbs! SIX! This is from someone who has gained up to 53 lbs, then 35 lbs! LOL I am very happy with it, as is Dr Babin. I do expect a big increase over the next couple of months, but so far, so good. My goal is 15-20 lbs total. With my history, I can't lose while breastfeeding, so hopefully this will help out some.
SIZE: Im actually measuring 2 weeks ahead of time using the fundus measurements (1 centimenter from bottom to top of my belly=1 week) So-I should measure 23 cent., but actually measured 25! Not sure what that means at this point. I hope it means that I will go a little early (2009 would be nice LOL). Of course, I could birth a 10 lb baby...LOL We'll see.
BABY: Is feeling a lot bigger than Chase at this point. I have been feeling the rolling movement, and low/high movement at the same time. I didn't feel this until around 30weeks (not 23!) Chase was a smaller baby, so I can really tell this time around, even this early, that she will be a little bit bigger.
UP NEXT: I am scheduled to go back in 5 weeks, and i'll get my iron levels and my Glucose checked. Prayers against anything bad in that area! I haven't had Gestational Diabetes in either pregnancy, so hopefully this one will continue that.
SWINE FLU: I swear, if one more student comes up to me, breathes on me, then tells me they are flu-ish, I will hit them. Seriously-I will :P We have had a HUGE number of absences due to both the seasonal flu and the H1N1 strain. It's funny to hear other people freak out at this point bc one or 2 people they know have it. Well, I had about 70 kids out with it last week. Thankfully i've been good. I make sure to wash my hands and use sanitizer. I've also opened my classroom windows while students are in to "air out" the room several times a day. So far, so good. This should make for an interesting fall semester though...doctors are saying it won't be easing up and to expect it harder/earlier this year. (Really-ya think?)
So-that is my update...i'm 24 weeks on Tuesday, so my next appointment will have me at 28 weeks. I swear this pregnancy is flying by! Addison Olivia Jones will be here before we know it!

BEST FRIENDS :)
I snapped this picture a bit ago during naptime...the kids are both feeling a little cruddy. They caught my cold, which I caught from one of my lovely students.
They are in my bed, and I laid them down on opposite sides. Over the course of their nap, they eventually snuggled together and are even sharing a pillow :) Taylor says Chase is her "best friend", and he really adores her. Now, he can fight and beat her up, but at the same time, he gets so sad if she leaves or gets hurt or gets in trouble. They are just toooo sweet!

Wow
Denise...as my Olde Wheat Barn buddy, you will love this!!!!!
I came across this video of a lady named Ann Cooper. She is part of the California/Berkely school district, and is over the school lunch program. She managed to take their menu of corndogs, pizza, and chicken nuggets and turn the ENTIRE program into one that uses organic, local, and self sustaining farmed foods. Considering we had corndogs for our first day back at school, I know we are far from being here. She mentions facts/statistics/and figures that will make any parent, or human that eats in America, realize how big of a problem it is.
The video is 20 minutes long, but she manages to prove points taht would take another person hours! I love her! I hope you check it out...

Names...To Tell or Not To Tell???
I was hinted by a few people that they would like to know the name of our 3rd little blessing. Since I now know that the pregnant people in my family have either named their baby already, or are having a boy, I think it's safe to share. But if you don't like, keep it to yourself :)
Our baby girl will be named Addison Olivia Jones :)
Kyle and I chose the first name, and Taylor picked out the middle name. I love it!

Want to Get Pregnant ASAP?
Sell all your baby stuff in a garage sale! Yes, last summer Kyle and I decided we needed to purge alot of our things when we bought our home last summer. That included the thousands of baby items that we have accumulated over the years. So, we said goodbye to it all over a hot August weekend and came out getting about $700 total. Awesome for a garage sale, if I must say! LOL
So-here we are, 19 weeks along with a baby girl and nothing but a small box of baby items. I am not having a shower this time around, obviously, so Kyle and I have been trying to figure out how to get what we need without going overboard and having too much stuff that we won't even get to put it on the baby, which has happened to both kids now.
When you are having your 3rd baby, you know what you need and what is just nice to have (and also what you will NEVER ever use) Our main savings are being put toward baby gear. We plan on getting a bouncer chair, travel swing, and a Pack and Play with a bassinet/newborn bed/changing pad. We plan to cosleep with this baby as well, but I was very nervous about the first month or so having a baby in our King size bed with literally 8 inches of pillowtop. So-we will have the bassinet for a couple months then switch to our bed.
I figure we will get some clothes from family and friends anyway, so we really haven't thought about that at all. Turns out, we are right. My mom showed up today with onesies! Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, and I certainly wouldn't blog about onesies, BUT-this is our very first gift for our baby girl!!! I also love that my mom thinks ahead...she got 6 mos onesies since most people always give newborn clothes for gifts, and the bigger sizes also hold a big, giant cloth diaper butt.
Yes-the cloth diapers are safe and sound in the attic, along with my 2 pumps :) See, I DO know what is important to keep. We also kept special outfits. I will probrably start cloth diapering around 2 months, like we did with Chase. Since we breastfeed, it would seriously be double the washings. So-for the first 8-12 weeks, we will use Pamper's Swaddlers!
Here are our first outfits for our new baby!

I Was Feeling Artistic...So We Painted Our Toes!
If you know me, you know I love pedicures...LOOOOOVE them. But-I hate spending $30 on them every two weeks or so. So, I went to Sally Beauty Supply a few weeks ago and just bought the rest of the tools that the nail place uses so that I can do my own nails at home (I had all the files and scrapers, I just needed a few more colors and the "dot" tool) So-here is the results from our "pedicure night". I got the SAME EXACT design done at Hawaiian Nails a couple weeks ago, and I just re-created it.

Taylor and Chase are Getting a Sister!
Yes-I know the picture sucks...My scanner kept scanning it as an Adobe file, which doesn't upload on the blog. So, here is a picture of a picture. We got to see our new baby girl today! She is 8oz. and about 5 inches head to booty. But-she has loooooong legs like Taylor :) She was definitely a mover. The entire session, her legs were "bicycling" around and her mouth kept opening and closing really fast, almost looked like she was talking (imagine that...with me as her mother)
They were able to get clear pictures of everything but part of the heart, and her face, because she was face down (facing my back). I will get a 2nd scan on the 31st, but they didn't seem too concerned. The OB said everything we could see was perfect! Yay!
Poor Chase is outnumbered. So far, he is the ONLY grandson on the Jones side. We will finally have another boy in September (right, Pam?) for him to play with! LOL So-the total Jones grandchild tally is 4 Girls and 2 Boys.
I am very excited to have a little Girly Girl. It will make the bedroom situation easy, as well as the names. Plus-no circumcision to worry about! Whew!
